A varied and wide-ranging solo/duo guitar act, Ron Jackson's Akustik InventYours features New York-based guitarist Ron Jackson and acoustic rhythm guitarist Dan Garcia. Founded to build upon Jackson’s considerable legacy as a jazz guitarist, Akustik InventYours explores musical styles from American folk music and a broad palette of World music to traditional forms of blues, Latin-influenced music and jazz. Taking its cues from the solo playing of such figures as Michael Hedges, Chet Atkins and Leo Kottke, Akustik InventYours is based on Jackson-penned original music—with the occasional familiar cover thrown in as a surprise. Praised by fans and critics alike for its “melodic acumen,” and the kind of “cultural multiplicity that can only come from a well-traveled heart,” Akustik InventYours is an exciting and evolving kaleidoscope of Jackson’s many music interests.

The leader of the Ron Jackson Trio, versatile and sophisticated jazz guitarist Ron Jackson is an accomplished composer, solo and duo artist and jazz educator who has performed, recorded and taught music in over 30 countries. With a varied career as a performer, composer and arranger, Highlights include shows and tours with artists such as Taj Mahal, Jimmy McGriff, Larry Coryell, Benny Golson, Oliver Lake, Russell Malone and Mulgrew Miller. Ron has been featured as a leader in jazz festivals all over the world, including the North Sea Jazz Festival, Edinburgh Jazz Festivals and Winter Jazzfest, NYC.
